We take pride in our patients!

I first started receiving chiropractic care in high school for problems I was having with back pain, but stopped treatment when I went to college. After moving back to the Fort Wayne area and starting my job as a nurse, my back and neck pain returned. I decided to see the team at Goebel Chiropractic for care. I love coming to an office where everyone knows me by name. I see Sara for massage therapy, Kelly for corrective exercises, and Dr. Goebel for my adjustment. This combination of treatments really helps loosen my muscles, increases my flexibility, and realigns my spine. I feel like my treatments are tailored specifically to me and my areas of discomfort. This team is great!

Another Great Testimonial!!!


I would like to encourage those people who may be hesitant about using Chiropractic services to seriously consider its' value. 

I am a registered nurse and up until 2-14-13, I have never been to a chiropractor for care. That day I had a fall on my way home from my initial appointment with Dr. Goebel. I had been having a severe headache following the flu lasting for three weeks. After having my 1st adjustment the headache was gone. I have had intermittent headache off and on since but nothing like it was prior to treatment and am working toward continued improvement in that area. Dr. Goebel has found I have arthritis in my neck and left hip through radiology exam, My range of motion and pain relief continue to improve since I have been having treatment.

The fall, I mentioned earlier, left me with a very bruised right rib cage and bruised right skull and eye. The rib cage healed much more rapidly after adjustment and became pain free. 

The left hip had been giving pain for a couple of months and now after treatment it is almost pain free.

Goebel Chiropractic has a holistic program of care, which I appreciate very much. Thought the use of muscle strengthening, nutritional instruction, deep muscle massage, nerve stimulation, and Chiropractic treatment, they work toward making you a healthier and more active person. This makes it possible to reduce the amount of pain medication required and in some causes discontinued use of the drugs entirely.

My Story


Not only have I been part of the staff here at Goebel Chiropractic for 6 years, I am also patient. I have always suffered from hip and leg pain. When I was little I had to wear corrective shoes due to my feet being turned in. I thought hip/leg pain was just part of my life. When I first started working here, Dr Goebel took me through the new patient process. He asked me why I had never seen a chiropractor before and I simply stated that I thought chiropractors were for people with back pain. Silly me! I started on my first month of care and had great success. I was not out of total pain but I could finally sleep through the night without waking up with hip/leg pain. I will be the first to admit, I am not the greatest person when it comes to being healthy. I was eating poorly, drinking a 2 liter of Pepsi a day and my body was starting to suffer from it. I needed to make lifestyle changes but was so unsure about were to start and what direction to go in. As a gift Dr. Goebel gave our staff the opportunity to start the Anti-Inflammatory lifestyle. What he really gave me was a healthy start to a new life. With Dr. Goebel  and Kelly's guidance, knowledge and support, I began the program with at first a very skeptical view. There is always some new fad, diet, or pill that will make everything perfect in your life. Then the results started to show up. The first thing I noticed was the boost in energy I had. I didn't get that 2 o'clock slump anymore. I felt so much more alert and focused. I noticed my that nails were not splitting and were growing in strong and healthy. I also have Eczema, a condition were the skin becomes very dry, peels, cracks and can even bleed. After just a few days it was gone, completely! My skin is retaining more moisture and looks healthy and brighter than it has in years. The dark circles under my eyes started to disappear as well. My hip/leg pain was also gone! In one month I have gone from one of my most unhealthiest moments in my life to one of my healthiest! I have lost 10 lbs without any exercise and most of all I feel amazing! I can't thank Dr. Goebel and Kelly enough for the tools they have given to me to change!

Another Wonderful Testimonial!

I have had pain in my neck and shoulders for many years, but early last summer my pain worsened after an injury. I attempted to work through the pain and felt as though I needed to accept a certain amount of pain as I'm 57 years old. However, when the pain began to limit my activities of daily living I decided to make the call to Goebel Chiropractic. 

The friendly and empathetic Office Manager, Robin, greeted me on the phone and got me in as soon as possible to see Dr. Goebel. After a thorough history, a few x-rays, and a complete spinal exam, Dr. Goebel explained what was wrong and developed a plan to begin the healing process. My holistic plan included a variety of activities including spinal manipulations, range of motion exercises, and stretching. I have also began meeting with Kelly, Fitness-Nutrition Specialist, who has developed a plan to help correct my posture, strengthen my core muscles  and gently stretch and increase my range of motion in my neck and shoulders. As I have worked the plan both at home and at the office, the pain began to subside and my range of motion improved. 

I can still remember the day I was driving and it occurred to me that for the first time in years, I didn't have any neck or shoulder pain! This may sound like a small thing, but I had lived with that pain for so long it had become a part of me. Most of the time it was not severe enough to take pain medicine, but it never left me. I can now say, although I'm not pain free all the time (did I mention I'm 57 years old!), it is no longer with me every day. I am once again able to turn my head side to side with no pain and my range of motion in both shoulders is better than it's been in years. IN my career as a nurse, the ability to respond quicker to patients's needs is critical. I am grateful that with Dr. Goebel's plan I am gaining back my strength and am able to have less pain at work.

I now attend a weekly class Kelly offers in stretching/strengthening and continue with my adjustments. Although I don't live in Fort Wayne, which makes getting to these appointments a little tricky, the improvements that have been made over the past 6 months made every trip worthwhile. Dr. Goebel is a very skilled Chiropractor who will do whatever it takes to help you. I truly believe his gentle adjustments and the comprehensive and caring approach of Kelly and the entire staff is why I'm better today. You won't find better care anywhere.

Another Amazing Story!!

I came to Goebel Chiropractic Clinic because of my back. I was walking bent over. Dr. Goebel sent me to have a MRI. The doctor that was in charge of reading the MRI said I needed surgery. I did not want surgery so Dr. Goebel started treatments on my back and therapy on my neck. Soon I was walking straight. One of the doctors I went to for the MRI said he didn't think a chiropractor could help and neither would therapy. So far it has worked.

This is what makes what we do SO SATISFYING!

For the past 9 years I have been living with pain. It started when I was 21 in my shoulders and each year got progressively worse. I eventually lost all my rage of motion and would cry myself to sleep most nights from pain. 3 years ago I went on a mission to get my pain alleviated and my range of motion fixed. I tried it all! Physical therapy, shoulder braces, breast reduction surgery, acupuncture, deep tissue massage, epidural, posture reinforcement notifier, medications galore, salves and foot wear. 9 doctors later I still had no relief and felt defeated. My absolute last resort was going to a chiropractor. I was afraid and intimidated. I decided I would see this through to the end and if a chiropractor couldn't help me, I would be helpless and in pain for the rest of my life. No- I am 30 years old and am not going down like that! I was referred to Dr. Goebel and his team and made an appointment. His exceptional friendly staff made me feel welcome and comfortable. I met with Dr. Goebel and he listened to my history and asked important questions. He said he could help me, I was hesitant as I had heard this 9 times before.  I stuck to his plan and worked hard for the past 3 months and have never felt better in my life! His office works as a team doing many different therapies though the week to get you better faster. I feel strong and healthy - I AM better, FINALLY!! I am excited for what the future holds as I continue to work with Dr. Goebel and his gifted , wonderful team. My pain is gone and my range of motion is so much better! I can not encourage others enough to get out and see Dr. Goebel and start living a better life as it is meant to be - healthy and pain free! Why are apples good for you?
Apples are packed with beneficial substances, such as pectin (a type of soluble fiber that helps lower artery-damaging LDL cholesterol), vitamin C, and other phytochemicals that may prevent heart disease, certain cancers, and also alleviate symptoms of allergies and asthma.  Eat apples raw for vitamin C and antioxidant power to improve the immune system’s ability to fight off infections.  For pectin, it’s best to cook the apples for the release of pectin when the apple’s cell walls soften as they cook.  Use unpeeled apples so you benefit from the insoluble fiber which adds bulk to stools, eases elimination and promotes satiety as well.

Considering today’s fast paced lifestyle, many eat a lot of fast food and other fatty items.  What’s a good way to naturally detox your body and get rid of the harmful agents in those foods?
Fast food and packaged foods are packed with sugar, sodium, chemicals and fat.  A majority of people are used to eating highly processed foods on a regular basis.  Your body has its own natural detoxifying process through the liver and kidneys.  They process chemicals and eliminate them in sweat, urine, and feces.  The colon’s natural bacterium detoxifies food wastes and its mucus membranes prevent bacteria and toxins from re-entering the body.  There are many detox diets and products available but many are so restrictive you can’t maintain them for long, any weight that is a loss is from fluid or muscle loss and long-term use of detox diet/products can cause harm.  Eating clean which is the practice of eating whole, natural foods such as fruits, vegetables, lean proteins and complex carbs and staying away from man-made foods can be a major transition and natural detox for a majority of people due to addictions to sugar, white bread, and fast food.  Increased consumption of water, herb teas, fruits, and vegetables and other fiber rich foods and reducing consumption of fats, red meats and milk products will also help you detoxify naturally.  Adding fiber will help the body detox by promoting regularity.

·         Exercise improves our metabolism and helps us overall with our efforts to detoxify naturally. 
·         Aloe Vera juice helps detoxify the bowel, neutralize stomach acidity and relieve constipation and gastric ulcers.
·         Apples contain pectin fiber that is great for your gut and detoxifying.
·         Artichokes are a liver-cleansing food.
·         Arugula, watercress, and dandelion greens help protect against toxins and help us detoxify.
